On the men's side, newcomers Maxwell Bullard, Austin Stellpflug and Terrance Howard have added quality and depth to the shot put and weight throw which saw several contributors graduate after last season. The trio currently ranks in the top-six in the BIG EAST this season in the shot and joins Joel McBride and Brendan McKinney in having five of the top-seven in the weight throw.
Sophomore William Wolf set the No. 5 mark all-time at Marquette in the triple jump at the GVSU Big Meet this season, and currently leads a quartet of MU jumpers in the top-five with a No. 2 ranking in BIG EAST this year.
In the long jump, it's a similar story, with Dwayne Dash Jr. holding the second-longest jump this season followed by three others breaking the top-seven.
In the men's pole vault, sophomore Will Ford also holds the second-best mark in the BIG EAST this season followed by a host of five others in the top-nine, including Vinny Martello, Swanberg and James Kubik ranking third-fifth, respectively.
When competition concludes on Saturday, the Golden Eagles hope they have the balanced scoring needed to try and overtake defending champion Villanova, which claimed team titles on both the men's and women's sides in 2015.
