Coach Rogers Show Podcast with J. Grebinski

MILWAUKEE -- For her efforts at the Georgia Relays this past weekend, Marquette distance runner Jayne Grebinski was named as the first ever women's BIG EAST Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week, the BIG EAST Conference announced Wednesday.

"It is a great honor for Jayne," said head coach Bert Rogers. "She has a lot more in her and will have quite a few more shots as the season progresses to improve and get even better in the event."

At the Georgia Relays on March 21, Grebinski, running in her first career 3,000-meter steeplechase, recorded a BIG EAST and NCAA-qualifying time of 10:37.06 to win the race by over 42 seconds.

Grebinski etched her name in the MU record books with her time in the steeplechase, placing her second all-time behind All-American Brianna Dahm in the event.
