Golden Eagles Flock Out West For a Trio of Meets

MILWAUKEE - The Marquette men's and women's track and field teams will compete in three different meets in California this weekend from Thursday, April 17 through Saturday, April 19. The three days of competition are set to begin on Thursday at the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, Calif., and in Walnut, Calif., at the Mt. SAC Relays.
The Golden Eagles will continue action at both meets on Friday and end the weekend at The Beach Invitational in Norwalk, Calif., on Saturday.
Thursday's competition at the Bryan Clay Invitational begins with men and women's hammer throws, scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Central time. Concluding Thursday's action, junior Elisia Meyle and freshman Brittney Feivor will represent Marquette at the Mt. SAC Relays in women's 10,000-meter run.
Friday, the squad will again be split between the Bryan Clay Invitational and the Mt. SAC Relays. The field competitors will begin the day at Mt. SAC with men's hammer and women's shot put events beginning at noon CT. Redshirt senior Patrick Stuart will start the events at the Bryan Clay Invitational with men's shot put at 1 p.m. CT.
An action-packed Friday will see runners and jumpers competing in both locations throughout the day. William Koeck (hammer), John Krzyszkowski (javelin) and Carlye Schuh (long jump) will have the chance to best their program records set this season at the Mt. SAC Relays.
For Saturday's competition, the squad will participate only at The Beach Invitational in Norwalk, Calif., at Cerritos College. MU is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. CT, and conclude at 9:25 p.m. CT.
