MILWAUKEE- With her record-breaking performance in this past weekend's Benedictine University Twilight Invitational in Lisle, Ill., junior Carlye Schuh is named the GoMarquette.com Student-Athlete of the Week.

The Appleton, Wis., native beat her own program record twice in the long jump. Schuh beat her previous record of 5.94 meters on her second jump (6.00 meters) and then set the new outdoor record with a leap of 6.05 meters in her fourth attempt.

This is the third student-athlete of the week honor for Schuh this year. The junior earned the honor on Jan. 28 and April 8.

The Marquette University men's and women's track and field teams return to action May 3-5 at the BIG EAST Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Piscataway, N.J.

April 22 Tyler Melnyk Men's Lacrosse Melnyk registered six points, with a game-high of four goals, in MU's first ever home victory over Detroit, 14-9, Saturday, April 20. He leads the team with 20 goals and 33 points on the season.
April 15 JJ Sagl Men's Lacrosse Sagl notched a career-high 16 saves in Marquette's 14-6 win at High Point on April 12. The West Islip, N.Y., native saw 46 shots launched by the High Point squad on Saturday, 23 of which were on net. Sagl and Marquette limited High Point to just three goals in each half.
April 8 Carlye Schuh Track and Field

Schuh had a hand in 20 of the 112 total team points to lead Marquette past Milwaukee in Friday's dual meet, 112-76. She won three individual events, including the long jump (5.86 meters), triple jump (11.23 meters) and the 100-meter dash (12.07 seconds). Schuh was also part of the victorious 4x100-meter relay team.

April 1 Davante Gardner Men's Basketball

Gardner was named All-East Region for his play in Marquette's four NCAA tournament games and averaged 14 points and six rebounds in his final two contests against Miami (Fla.) and Syracuse. The junior forward posted 14 points in each of MU's games this weekend and was named to the all-region team along with classmate Vander Blue.

March 25 Vander Blue Men's Basketball

Blue converted a last-second layup to top Davidson, 59-58, in the second round of the NCAA tournament on Thursday afternoon and capped the weekend by scoring a game-high 29 points to lead Marquette over Butler, 74-72,  in the round of 32 on Saturday. He averaged 22.5 points per game in MU's wins.

March 18 William Koeck Track and Field Koeck threw a personal best with a distance of 188 feet, 8 inches (57.2 meters) at the USF Bulls Inviational. That distance placed him second in Marquette's track and field history for hammer throw.
March 11 Vander Blue Men's Basketball Blue scored the game-tying and winning baskets in the final minute of overtime as the Golden Eagles topped St. John's 69-67 at Madison Square Garden for their first conferene title since 2002-03. He earned All-BIG EAST Second Team honors Sunday afternoon and was named to the league's weekly honor roll on Monday.
March 4 JJ Sagl Men's Lacrosse Sagl guided the men's lacrosse team to its first victory in program history on Saturday, March 2 over Air Force. The West Islip, N.Y., native collected 14 saves and seven ground balls in the win.
Feb. 25 Sarina Simmons Women's Basketball Simmons scored 16 points against St. John's on Wednesday, Feb. 20, in doing so she surpassed the 1,000-point plateau for her career. She is just the 22nd player in program history to achieve the career milestone.
Feb. 18 Kenzie Brown Women's Lacrosse Brown helped Marquette go 1-1 in its inaugural weekend of competition by collecting eight points on six goals and two assists. She tallied a game-high five goals against Coastal Carolina in the program's first win.
Feb. 10 Dan Mamalat Men's Tennis Mamalat posted a 6-0 mark in MU's victories over South Dakota State, Western Illinois, and Bradley. The Philadelphia, Pa., native didn't drop a set in singles play.
Feb. 4 Ana Pimienta Women's Tennis Pimienta helped the women's tennis team to a perfect 3-0 weekend, while going a combined 6-0 in No. 1 singles and No. 2 doubles action.
Jan. 28 Carlye Schuh Track and Field Schuh set a new indoor program record in the women's long jump at the Bill Bergan Invitational with a jump of 19 feet, 5 1/2 inches (5.93 meters). The Appleton, Wis., native claimed the top spot at the event.
Jan. 21 Katherine Plouffe Women's Basketball Plouffe helped the Marquette women to a perfect 2-0 week with their first BIG EAST wins of the season at Seton Hall and Pittsburgh. She averaged 13.0 points, 9.5 rebounds and 5.0 assists in the two victories.
Jan. 14 Vander Blue Men's Basketball Blue helped Marquette remain undefeated in BIG EAST play by scoring 22 points in a 74-67 overtime victory at Pittsburgh. He shot 50 percent from the field and hit 9-of-10 from the charity stripe.
Jan. 7 Davante Gardner Men's Basketball Gardner averaged 15 points and 6.5 rebounds per game in wins over UConn and No. 15/16 Georgetown. He combined to shoot 60 percent from the floor and 90 percent (18-of-20) from the free throw line.
Dec. 31 Arlesia Morse Women's Basketball Morse notched career highs of 25 points and 10 rebounds for her first career double-double as the women's basketball team picked up a 77-61 victory over Loyola-Chicago. The Flint, Mich., native earned also earned BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll recognition for her play against the Ramblers.
Dec. 24 Davante Gardner Men's Basketball Gardner scored a season-high 19 points, including a perfect 9-of-9 mark from the free throw line as Marquette held on for an 84-80 victory over LSU on Saturday, Dec. 22.
Dec. 17 Danielle Carlson Women's Volleyball Carlson became Marquette's first two-time AVCA All-American and earned the women's volleyball program's first Academic All-America honors since 1996.
Dec. 10 Junior Cadougan Men's Basketball Cadougan scored a personal-best 18 points in a win over rival Wisconsin and also chipped in six assists, four rebounds and one block in 26 minutes of action. He shot 7-of-10 from the field and 14 of his points came in the second half as MU pulled away for the victory.
Dec. 3 Bryan Ciesiulka Men's Soccer Ciesiulka was named by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) as a Capital One Academic All-America Second Team member on Nov. 29.
Nov. 26 Katherine Plouffe Women's Basketball Plouffe was named to the Texas A&M Thanksgiving Classic All-Tournament Team after collecting a double-double with a game-high 16 points and 10 rebounds vs. Marshall (Nov. 23) and season-high and game-high 18 points against No. 24 Texas A&M on Nov. 25.
Nov. 19 Elizabeth Koberstein Women's Volleyball Koberstein was named All-BIG EAST First Team after leading the conference with an 11.67 assist per set average. After tallying match-highs in assists in three contests during the BIG EAST Tournament, she was named to the all-tournament team. 
Nov. 12 Danielle Carlson Women's Volleyball Carlson had a milestone-achieving week on and off the court. The Marshfield, Wis., native was named to the Capital One Academic All-District 6 team on Thursday afternoon, prior to picking up her 1,000th career kill on Sunday in MU's 3-0 win over Notre Dame.
Nov. 5 Taylor Madigan Women's Soccer Madigan scored the game-winning goal Sunday afternoon as the Marquette women's soccer team earned its first BIG EAST tournament title in program history with a 1-0 victory over No. 13 Georgetown.
Oct. 29 Molly Hanson Cross Country Hanson lead the Golden Eagles to a seventh place finish, its highest since 2008, at the BIG EAST Cross Country Championships on Oct. 26 in the Bronx, N.Y. She finished with a team-best 6-kilometer time of 22:27.80, placing her 41st overall. It was the fourth-straight time this season that Hanson has been MU's top finisher.
Oct. 22 Adam Hermsen Men's Soccer Hermsen played all 180:00 minutes in Marquette's eighth and ninth shutouts of the season. The Appleton, Wis., native helped anchor a MU defense that defeated Pittsburgh 4-0 last Wednesday and went on to knock-off Seton Hall 2-0 on Saturday. Was also named BIG EAST Rookie of the Week.
Oct. 15 Ally Miller Women's Soccer Miller anchored a defense that only surrendered two shots on net in shutout victories against St. John's (Oct. 12) and Syracuse (Oct.14) that helped MU capture its fourth-straight American Division title.
Oct. 8 Andy Huftalin Men's Soccer Huftalin came off the bench to score twice in MU's 3-2 upset over No. 2 Connecticut, his team-leading fifth and sixth goals of the season, including the eventual game-winning goal in the 80th minute.
Oct. 1 Holly Mertens Women's Volleyball Mertens recorded career highs of 20 kills and nine blocks in a five-set victory over Notre Dame Saturday and helped Marquette sweep DePaul Sunday with 13 kills, while hitting .667.
Sept. 24 Amanda Engel Women's Soccer Engel played 156:53 in two shutouts against Seton Hall and Rutgers, recording seven  saves, with five of those coming in the 2-0 win over Rutgers. The Centennial, Colo., native is a perfect 4-0-0 in the first four starts of her collegiate career.
Sept. 17 Axel Sjoberg Men's Soccer Defender Axel Sjoberg, the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week, scored both goals in a 2-1 win against Michigan Friday. He also had the gamewinner in double overtime in a 2-1 win Sunday at Michigan State. 
Sept. 10 Danielle Carlson Women's Volleyball Carlson helped Marquette knock off No. 23 Michigan Friday evening at the Al McGuire Center and hit .449 on her way to MVP honors in the three-day tournament. The senior middle hitter accounted for just a pair of hitting errors on the weekend in four matches, including two against ranked opponents.
Sept. 3 Charlie Lyon Men's Soccer Lyon was named the BIG EAST Conference Goalkeeper of the Week on Sept. 3 after posting his second and third consecutive shutouts of the season. He grabbed four saves in a 1-0 win against UIC and four more saves in a victory at Drake to help the Golden Eagles start the season 4-0-0 for the first time since 2000.
Aug. 27 Sebastian Jansson Men's Soccer Jansson's third career game-winning goal topped the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee as time expired in regulation Friday evening to help MU claim the Milwaukee Cup.
Aug. 20 Ally Miller Women's Soccer Miller was tabbed BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week following her efforts in a 4-0 win over St. Bonaventure on Aug. 17. The senior anchored a defensive unit that allowed two shots, including just one shot on goal. The senior also assisted on the first goal of the match and played 79 minutes.
Aug. 13 Ally Miller Women's Soccer Miller netted the game-winning goal in Marquette's exhibition opener against Wisconsin on Thursday, Aug. 9.
Aug. 6 Jake Thomas Men's Basketball Thomas averaged 24.3 points, 6.7 assists and 3.3 rebounds in the 2012 Scion Dental Milwaukee Summer Pro-Am Tournament to claim MVP honors. The Racine native notched 35 points and 10 assists in the championship game.
July 30 Samantha Kennedy Track & Field Kennedy claimed gold Saturday at the 2012 Canadian Junior Track & Field Championships in the women's hammer throw with a toss of 50.85 meters (166 feet, 10 inches) in Winnipeg, Manitoba. 
July 23 Axel Sjoberg Men's Soccer Sjoberg took home Best Defender honors at the Thunder Bay Chill awards dinner last week. The 6-foot-7 Swedish stopper helped the Chill post a 13-2-1 record in USL Premier Development League action on its way to a Heartland Division trophy.
July 16 Danielle Carlson Women's Volleyball Carlson, who is a returning AVCA All-American, was named the 2011-12 BIG EAST Conference Scholar-Athlete Sport Excellence Award winner for women's volleyball. Carlson carries a theology and psychology double major and ranked 17th in the NCAA in hitting percentage in 2011.
July 9 Maegan Kelly Women's Soccer Kelly helped her club team, the KC Dynamos, to the U23 United States Amatuer Soccer Association National Region II Cup and earned a berth in the National Cup Finals, July 20-22.
July 2 Jae Crowder Men's Basketball Crowder was selected with the 34th pick in the 2012 NBA draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers before his rights were traded to the Dallas Mavericks. He is the 55th MU player selected in the draft.
