The top-12 competitors in each event at both NCAA preliminary round sites (Lawrence, Kansas and Jacksonville, Florida) will advance to the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Oregon, June 8-11.
Last season, Marquette sent six student-athletes to the preliminary round in Austin, Texas.
Goodrich, who makes her second straight appearance at the regional meet, is the lone female qualifier for the Golden Eagles this season. Her season-best mark of 53.73 seconds, which she ran at The Beach Invitational back on April 15, currently stands as the 24th-fastest time in the region. She helped lead Marquette to its first BIG EAST Conference outdoor title in school history en route to earning all-conference honors in the 200- and 400-meter dash events, as well as the anchor leg on the 4x400-meter relay team.
The Franksville, Wisconsin native competed at the West Prelims as a freshman one year ago, taking 37th out of 48 competitors in the 400-meter dash with a time of 54.85 seconds.
Ellenson, who is making his fourth consecutive trip to the West Prelims, is also vying for his fourth trip to nationals. The Rice Lake, Wisconsin native has five event wins this season, including his second BIG EAST outdoor title earlier this month when he jumped to a height of 2.15 meters (7 feet, 0.5 inch) amid challenging weather conditions.
He currently ranks eighth in the West Region with a mark of 2.20 meters (7 feet, 2.5 inches), which he jumped at the Gibson Invitational back on April 9. The mark was also the same height that won him the 2015 NCAA West Prelims on the way to a fifth-place finish at nationals. Ellenson is a three-time outdoor All-American following last season’s top-five finish and eighth-place and runner-up marks in his first two seasons as a member of the University of Minnesota.
Coming off a BIG EAST title of his own, Krzyszkowski will look to qualify for his first national championship meet when he takes the 16th-best javelin mark to the West Prelims at Kansas. The Mississauga, Ontario native broke his own school record and set a new personal-best when he threw for a season-best mark of 69.39 meters (227 feet, 8 inches) at the Illinois Twilight on April 23.
The junior fell just outside of the top-12 qualifying spots to nationals a year ago, taking 18th overall with a then-school record setting mark of 65.54 meters (215 feet), which was just 5 feet, 10 inches shy of tying for the final qualifying spot.
Dash Jr. will make his first regional appearance in the long jump with the 45th-best qualifying mark of 7.30 meters (23 feet, 11 inches), which he accomplished en route to winning the BIG EAST title earlier this month. The Savannah, Georgia native has three event wins in the long jump this season.
