Coach Rogers and J. Ehlen Mideast Regional Podcast Preview

MILWAUKEE-- Senior Jessica Ehlen, along with juniors Erynn James and Jayne Grebinski will take part in the NCAA Mideast Track & Field Regional Friday and Saturday at Cardinal Park Track & Field Stadium in Louisville, Ky.

Ehlen will participate in the hammer throw and discus on Friday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., respectively. James will then compete in the high jump at 1 p.m. Saturday, followed by Grebinski at 6:15 p.m. in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.

"Jayne, Erynn and Jessi have all had great seasons, setting some pretty good marks, if not setting school records," said head coach Bert Rogers. "They have all had tremendous seasons and shown that they have gotten stronger as the season has gone on. I am looking forward to some big things this weekend."

Ehlen qualified for the Regional by recording a distance of 47.46 meters (155 feet, 8 inches) in the discus at the Wisconsin Twilight on May 5 and registered a new personal best in the hammer throw at the Gregory Invitational on May 12 with a throw of 57.31 meters (188-0) to put her No. 2 all time on the MU list.

After being unable to compete due to injury in last year's Regional, James returns in the high jump looking to best her personal record of 1.75 meters (5-8.75).

Grebinski qualified for the Regional last season in the 5,000-meter run but is back in the steeplechase with the second fastest recorded time in school history at 10:34.15.
