Senior Carlye Schuh will make her second-straight appearance in the women's long jump on Thursday at 2 p.m. to begin competiton at John McDonnell Field. Redshirt senior Spencer Agnew and freshman John Krzyszkowski are also slated to compete Thursday at 5:30 p.m. in the men's 1,500-meter run and javelin, respectively.

William Koeck and Bret Hardin will represent Marquette at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 30 in the men's hammer throw, while Agnew would run in the quarterfinals of the 1,500 on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. if he were to advance through Thursday's first round.

The top-12 athletes at each of the NCAA's two preliminary round sites (Jacksonville, Florida and Fayetteville, Arkansas) will advance to the NCAA Outdoor Championships, which will take place on June 11-14 in Eugene, Oregon.

Last season, Marquette sent six student-athletes to the preliminary rounds in Austin, Texas.

Schuh, the BIG EAST Conference indoor and outdoor long jump champion, is Marquette's long jump record holder and enters the meet ranked 31st in the region with a season-best mark of 6.06 meters (19 feet, 10.75 inches). She sat 24th in the region prior to last year's meet where she fouled on all three attempts and failed to record a distance.

Agnew is ranked 48th in the region and is the final student-athlete to qualify in the men's 1,500-meter run. The Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin native has a season-best time of 3:46.50, which he recorded on April 18 at the Bryan Clay Invitational. That time is the fourth-best mark in Marquette history.

Krzyszkowski became the Marquette men's record holder in the javelin at the first meet of the outdoor season on March 14 at the USF Open in Tampa, Florida. Krzyzkowski has topped that mark in four subsequent meets and won the event at the 2014 BIG EAST Outdoor Championships on Sunday, May 11 with a personal-best of 65.31 meters (214 feet, 3 inches), good for 28th in the West Region.

Koeck returns to competition at the West Preliminary Rounds after a 32nd-place finish at the 2013 meet in Texas. The junior enters the meet seeded 29th in the region after becoming the first student-athlete in Marquette history to top the 200-feet plateau with a toss of 200 feet, 11 inches at the Cardinal Twilight on Friday evening. Koeck was a Second Team All-American in the weight throw at the NCAA Indoor Championships and captured BIG EAST titles this year in the weight and hammer throws.

Hardin, who redshirted the 2013 outdoor season, has gone back and forth with Koeck for much of the year in the hammer throw and sits second in program history. The Acworth, Georgia, native placed second at the BIG EAST Outdoor Championships and will be making his first appearance at the preliminary rounds at 10 a.m. on Friday morning. He is 39th regionally with a season-best mark of 60.59 meters, (198 feet, 9 inches) two feet shorter than Koeck.
