MILWAUKEE - Marquette track and field head coach Bert Rogers has announced that the squad will hold open tryouts during the first two weeks of September.

Sprints, jumps, hurdles and long sprint tryouts will be held over the span of five practices at the Melvin "Bus" Shimek Memorial Track and Field Facility at Valley Fields.

Tryouts for the throwing events will occur during the week of Sept. 8. There will be no tryouts for distance events as the cross country season is about to begin on Saturday.
