BIG EAST All-Academic
Indoor (Jr.): Brought home silver at the UW-Parkside Classic (Feb. 6) for her efforts in the 3,000 meter race (10:30.91) ... At the BIG EAST Championships (Feb. 26) came in at 12th in the mile at a time of 5:05.68, her season’s best.  
Outdoor (Jr.):Performed her best 3,000 steeple chase at the Illinois Twilight (Apr. 23), and came in third place with a time of 10:57.28 ... She left the BIG EAST Championships (May 13) with seventh place (11:05.33) in the steeple chase.
Cross Country (Jr.): Ran in three out of the first four races during her junior season ... Placed 33rd in the Badger Season Opener (Sept. 4) with a 4K time of 16:40.2 ... Took 56th at the BIG EAST Conference Championships during the 6K with a time of 22:03.5.

BIG EAST All-Academic
Indoor (So.): Competed in four indoor events, and cracked the top-10 three times.
Outdoor (So): Placed her highest at a dual meet versus UW-Milwaukee (Apr. 10) at fourth place in the 400 meter hurdles (1:14.93).
Cross Country (So.): Did not compete.

Indoor (Fr.): Did not compete
Outdoor (Fr.): At the Lee Calhoun Memorial Invitational (Apr. 10) took second place in the 3,000 meter staple chase (12:16.00). Was able to get into the top-5 in 7 of her meets.
Cross Country (Fr.):Competed in three cross country meets as a true freshman, the first three of the season ... Ran a best 5k time of 19:57 and was the 17th finisher overall in the JV race at the National Catholic Championships (Sept. 20) ... MU's ninth finisher in the first meet of the season, the Badger Classicat Wisconsin (Sept. 6), with a 4k time of 15:33.

High School: Busse was a four-year letter winner in cross country and track at St. Mary's Springs Academy... Named the track and field and cross country captain her senior year... Was a four-time state qualifier in cross country... Earned academic all-state all four years on the cross country team... Awarded cross country MVP her senior year... In track, she was the conference champion her senior year in the 4x800-meter relay, as well as the 1,600-, and 3,200-meter runs ... Was a four-time state qualifier in five events total ... Two-time state champion in the 4x800-meter ... Helped her track team to three conference championships, four regional championships, one sectional title and a second-place finish in the state finals in 2013 ... Recorded a personal best time of 5:17.97 in the 1,600-meter run to win the Flyway Conference title in 2013 ... Holds a PR of 11:35 in the 3,200 and of 2:21 in the 800 ... Also earned two letters in cross country skiing.

Personal: Born in Fond du Lac, Wis., to Kathy and Rob Busse ... Has two younger siblings, Matthew and Sam ... Mother played tennis at St. Vincent College ... Plans to major in biology.
