2009: Started the season with a second-place finish (14:33.78) behind teammate Jayne Grebinski at the DePaul Invitational...Helped MU finish third overall at the Midwest Collegiate Open with a fifth-place finish and a season-best 5K time of 18:02.2...Finished 59th at the BIG EAST Championships in 23:31... Ran her season best 6K time (22:39.63) at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional where she finished 74th overall and fourth on the team.
2008 :In the opening meet of the season, the sophomore finished third on the team at the Big River Running Early Bird...Participated in the Notre Dame Inivitational, finishing 84th overall and third on the team with a time of 17:49...Competed in the NCAA Pre-Nationals and finished 51st overall in the Big East Championships with her best 6K time of 22:12...Recorded a fifth-place finish on the team at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional.
2007-08 (Northwestern College): Earned All-America honors in cross country after a third place finish at the 2007 NAIA Cross Country Championships where she ran a personal-best time in the 5K of 17:46...Won four cross country meets, including the NAIA Region III Championships...Earned all-conference recognition and the Great Plains Athletic Conference Runner of the Year award in cross country...In the indoor track season, was recognized as an NAIA All-American in the mile and distance medley...Again an NAIA All-American in outdoor track in the 1,500m and distance medley.
High School: Johnson was a four-time letterwinner in both track and cross country at Okoboji High School...Captained both teams her junior and senior years, as well as the basketball team...Named to the All-State First Team in cross country as a senior and in track three times...Led the Pioneers to a track regional championship in 2004 and as state qualifiers for cross country in 2006...Recognized to the All-State Academic Team for cross country, basketball, and track...A Wayne E.
