CHICAGO - Three runners from the Marquette cross country team competed at the 34th annual Sean Earl Lakefront Invitational, Saturday afternoon, hosted by Loyola (Ill.) at Montrose Avenue Beach in Chicago, Ill.

Junior Colleen Kuenster placed 92nd (20:02) for the Golden Eagles in the women's 5K, and teammate Beth Pollard covered the course in 20:43, finishing 119th. Freshman Eric Meissner placed 113th in the men's 8K in a time of 27:42.

Unattached Mandi Zemba won the women's race in 16:52, while Nate Peck of Grand Valley State claimed the men's crown in 24:22.

MU ran a limited roster as it prepares for its next race, the Pre-National Invitational, Oct. 14, in Terre Haute, Ind.
