MILWAUKEE - Six of the eight Marquette University track and field student-athletes to compete in the West Regional of the 2010 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships were named to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Track and Field Team.

Seniors Jayne Grebinski and Rachel Thiel along with junior middle distance runner Olivia Johnson were named to the women's team, while Peter Bolgert, Blake Johnson and Nick Szczech were included on the men's squad.

It marks the third time this summer that Bolgert has been honored with an academic award after earning ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-America Second Team and First Team Academic All-District V honors.

Olivia Johnson was one of only 28 women with a grade point average of 4.0 or above.

To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field Team, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 and have met either the NCAA Division I Indoor automatic or provisional qualifying standard or participated in the NCAA Division I Outdoor Championships (including preliminary rounds) in their respective events.

Institutions given All-Academic Team status will be named Monday, Aug. 2 (men) and Tuesday, Aug. 3 (women) by the USTFCCCA.
