Women's Cross Country Opens the Season Ranked 28th
Golden Eagle runners continue to be nationally recognized MILWAUKEE — The first national cross country poll of the 2005 season has been released, just prior to Marquette toeing the start line for its first race of the season. The Golden Eagles open up the season ranked no. 28 by Finishlynx, the national cross country ranking service. Marquette is the fifth highest ranked team in the Great Lakes region based on this poll and is also the fifth highest ranked team in the BIG EAST. Colorado sits in the nation's top spot, heading into the regular season. The Marquette men's and women's cross country teams begin the season on Friday, September 9 at 5:30 p.m. at the Bradley Invitational.
