Marquette's two bench points ties the lowest amount of bench points this season. The Golden Eagles had two at DePaul on January 17. Marquette's 57 points Lowest number of points Marquette scored in a win. It was also the lowest number of points Georgetown has allowed in a loss this season. Georgetown's 51 points is the second lowest points the Golden Eagles allowed this season. Steve Novak's five three pointers give him 92 for the season, the 92 treys top the single season record previously held by Travis Diener who had 90 in 2002-03. With his 19 points, Novak passes Aaron Hutchins (1,439, 13th) to move into the 13th spot all-time with 1,444 career points.
Tonight's win marks the second win over a ranked opponent this season. To date, Marquette has played five ranked opponents this season and 34 in the Tom Crean era. Marquette is 15-19 against ranked opponents under coach Crean.
