MONTECATINIT TERME, Italy –
Led by a combined 50 points from forward Henry Ellenson and center Luke Fischer, the Marquette University men’s basketball team rolled to a 102-85 victory over LSU-Atletas on Saturday in Montecatinit Terme, Italy.

Ellenson, who is averaging 26.5 points per game in MU’s two foreign contests, poured in a game-high 29 points and added seven rebounds. Fischer added 21 points and nine boards, while guard Duane Wilson distributed 11 assists for the Golden Eagles.

Marquette was able to thrive in transition off defensive rebounds and Atletas turnovers and pulled away for good late in the third quarter. The Golden Eagles used a 10-point burst late in the third frame to enter the final quarter with a 78-65 edge.

Ellenson book-ended that run with a finish at the hoop and a mid-range jumper offset by lay-ins from Wilson and a pair from Traci Carter.

Freshman Sacar Anim also posted 10 points in the win.

It’s a short turnaround for the Golden Eagles, who will play Vicenza Select on Sunday at 1 p.m. Central time in Vicenza.
