Head Coach Tom Crean
"Brandon Cotton is a great guard who started his career at Michigan State and I have been following him since he was a sophomore in high school. I think he is a pro guard who goes left very well. He pounds the ball, can penetrate and can shoot the three very well. Detroit is a very good team and they have a great coach. We have anticipated this match-up."
"You never know how many steps you need to take to be successful, but finding a way to win tonight with defensive rebounding was a step in the right direction."
Sophomore Jerel McNeal
"We are not putting pressure on ourselves. We expect so much out of each other that we don't consider it pressure. Other people might think it is. It's not the reason our offense isn't clicking, it's just time. We are not going to let what everyone says and is thinking get into our locker room. We just need to continue to make adjustments and get better."
Sophomore Dominic James
"We don't give up when our back is against wall. We show that we are here to keep playing and we stay within ourselves and keep fighting. Our team showed a lot of character tonight to keep fighting until the end of the game and we got the win."
