MILWAUKEE - Twenty-two points each from Jajuan Johnson and Luke Fischer led three Marquette players with at least 20 points as the Golden Eagles downed Houston Baptist 101-79 on Saturday evening at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.

Marquette (4-2) shot 61.8 percent in the first half to burst out to a 56-33 halftime edge and held on for its fourth home victory of the season. The Golden Eagles shot a combined 37-of-66 (56.1 percent) on the evening and continued to push the pace in the open court by outscoring the Huskies 25-6 in fastbreak points.

Sophomore guard Haanif Cheatham also added 21 points for the Golden Eagles, while freshman Markus Howard chipped in a career-best 13 points in his third career start.

Asa Cantwell and Josh Ibarra each posted 12 points for the Huskies (2-3), who had five players reach double figures.

The 101-79 victory marked the first time since the beginning of the 2008-09 campaign that the Golden Eagles have reached triple digits in consecutive contests.

The Golden Eagles resume action at the BMO Harris Bradley Center on Wednesday, Nov. 30 against Western Carolina in a game slated for 7:30 p.m. and broadcast live on FS2
