MILWAUKEE – Led by Andrew Rowsey’s game-high 22 points and an early 3-point barrage, Marquette took down visiting Saint Francis (Pa.), 78-65, at the BMO Harris Bradley Center on Monday night.

The Golden Eagles (8-3) placed five players in double figures for the third straight game and fifth time this season. Rowsey’s 22 points came on 7-of-14 shooting from the field, including 6-of-13 from 3-point range. MU tied a season-high by converting 13 shots from long distance, including 18 points coming on six 3’s to start the game.

Haanif Cheatham registered his eighth game this season in double figures with 18 points on 6-of-12 shooting. While Sam Hauser, Luke Fischer and Jajuan Johnson chipped in 11 points apiece. Johnson added a career-high 11 boards for his second career double-double and matched a career high with six assists.

Marquette held the Red Flash (3-7) to 38.3 percent (23-of-60) shooting for the contest. SFU was led by Jamaal King and Isaiah Blackmon, who tallied 18 points apiece.

The Golden Eagles will be back in action on Wednesday, Dec. 21 against SIU-Edwardsville at the BMO Harris Bradley Center. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. Central time on FS1.
