MILWAUKEE - Sophomore Haanif Cheatham led five Marquette players in double figures with 19 points as Marquette rolled to an 89-56 victory over SIUE on Wednesday evening at the BMO Harris Bradley Center in its final non-conference tuneup before league action begins on Dec. 28.

The Golden Eagles (9-3) turned 22 SIUE turnovers into 31 points and shot 53.3 percent for the contest. Luke Fischer, Jajuan Johnson, Sam Hauser and Duane Wilson joined Cheatham in double digits, while Hauser came up one rebound shy of his first career double-double.

Jalen Henry led the Cougars (4-9) with 14 points, while Keenan Simmons registered a season-best 12 points to go along with nine rebounds. 

MU and SIUE were tied at 20 with just over seven minutes to play in the opening stanza before a 10-point outburst over the next two minutes put the Golden Eagles ahead for good.

Marquette begins BIG EAST Conference action at home against Georgetown on Wednesday, Dec. 28 at 7:30 p.m. Central time.
