Dwyane Wade, in his 12th season in the NBA, all with the Miami Heat, has averaged 21.8 points per contest while adding 5.5 assists and 4.0 boards per game. Wade’s season has been highlighted by a 42 point performance against the Utah Jazz on December 17th, followed by a 31 point, five rebound, five assist outing on Christmas Day against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Wade’s Heat currently hold the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference.
Jimmy Butler, a third year shooting guard for the Chicago Bulls, is currently averaging 20.6 points per game midway through the 2014-15 campaign and has averaged 6.0 rebounds per outing this season. Butler has had five games with 30-plus points, highlighted by a 35 point performance to go along with five boards, seven assists and four steals versus the New York Knicks on December 18th. Butler and his Bulls currently own the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference.
Steve Novak is in his eighth season in the NBA, first with the Utah Jazz, has shot 40% from beyond the arc during the 2014-15 campaign. His best performance this season came against the Golden State Warriors, the best team in the NBA, when he finished with nine points, three rebounds and two assists.

Wesley Matthews, in the midst of his fifth year as a Portland Trail Blazer, has averaged 16.4 points per game while shooting 39.3% from three. Matthews has also added 3.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists per contest this season. Recently, Matthews became the all-time leader in three-point field goals made in Portland’s franchise history. Matthews and the Trail Blazers currently own the two seed in the challenging Western Conference.
is in his second professional season and was recently traded to the Boston Celtics as part of the package to send Rajon Rondo to the Dallas Mavericks. Crowder has averaged 5.0 points per game this season. However, since seeing increased minutes since the trade, Crowder has averaged 8.2 points and 3.1 rebounds per contest. Crowder’s best performance of the season came on January 12th versus the New Orleans Pelicans where he tallied 22 points, three rebounds, three assists and four steals in a winning effort.
Jerel McNeal recently signed with the Baskersfield Jam, the D-League affiliate of the Phoenix Suns, and is a teammate of former MU standout Jamil Wilson. In his first three outings, McNeal has averaged 6.0 points to go along with 3.3 assists.
Jamil Wilson, a starter on the Bakersfield Jam, has played well in his first professional season. Wilson has averaged 10.3 points and has grabbed 4.8 rebounds per showing. His best performance of the year came on December 16th when he dropped 32 points along with five rebounds and three steals in a winning effort against Idaho.
Maurice Acker is in his fifth season as a professional and first with the Bakken Bears (Denmark). In 11 games, Acker has tallied 13.4 points per game and 5.6 assists per outing. Acker’s best output of the season came on January 12th when he recorded a double-double by tallying 22 points and 10 assists in a win against Svendborg.
Osumane Barro is in the midst of his seventh season in professional basketball and first with Targu Mures (Romania). Barro averages 10.5 points per game and 8.9 rebounds per outing through 15 games. Barro has also recorded five double-doubles during the season and tallied 20 points on December 19th against Rovinari.
Dwight Burke is in his sixth season in professional hoops and first with AB Ancud (Chile). In 23 contests, Burke has tallied 22.1 points and 12.0 rebounds per outing. In those 23 contests, Burke has recorded a staggering 18 double-doubles. Burke’s season-best performance occurred November 23rd when he compiled 25 points and 20 rebounds in the teams win against Las Animas.
Chris Otule, a 2014 graduate of Marquette, is in his first professional season with Crailsheim (Germany). Otule has impressed early by recording 7.6 points per contest and 4.2 rebounds per game. Otule has also shot 61.2% from the field through 17 games. Otule’s best performance of the 2014-15 campaign came against Telekom Bsk on December 31st when he notched 14 points and six rebounds.
Dwight Buycks, who is in his fourth professional season, has played with three international teams in the 2014-15 campaign and currently plays on TianJin Steel (China). With TianJin, Buycks has scored 26.8 points per showing and dished out 5.2 assists per game. On January 21st, Buycks tallied 41 points to go along with six boards and five assists.
Darius Johnson-Odom, referred to as DJO during his time at Marquette, is in his third professional season and first with AV Cantu (Italy). During the current Eurocup season, DJO has averaged 29.2 points per outing and has averaged 4.1 assists. The best game of his season came on December 10th when he dropped 31 points and added four assists in a win against Dijon.
Lawrence Blackledge is in his seventh professional season and third consecutive with the Iwate Big Bulls (Japan). As a starter, Blackledge has scored 14.3 points per competition as well as 9.7 boards. In 28 games, Blackledge has recorded 15 double-doubles and has double-digit point totals in 26 of 28 games.
Vander Blue is in his second professional campaign and currently plays for the Los Angeles D-Fenders, the D-League affiliate for the Los Angeles Lakers. Blue is averaging 20.1 points per game and has recorded 30-plus points in seven of his last eight contests. Blue was also recently named to the NBA D-League Showcase All-First Team.
Junior Cadougan is in his second professional season and first with Sidigas AV (Italy). Cadougan has helped the team to an early 7-5 record and has shot 41.0% from the field. On January 11th, Cadougan tallied five points along with two boards and one steal.
Joe Chapman is in the midst of his ninth professional season and first with Shimane SM (Japan). During the 2014-15 campaign, Chapman has averaged 16.0 points per outing while shooting 45.0% from the field. Chapman’s best performance came in the season lid-lifter against the Shiga L-Stars when he recorded 27 points and five assists.
David Cubillan is in his fifth season in professional hoops and first with Trotamundos (Venezuela). In 19 games, Cubillan has averaged 11.9 points and 4.0 assists per showing. A 24 point, five assist and three steal performance marked Cubillan’s best performance of the campaign.
Davante Gardner is in his first season with Hyeres-Toulon (France). Gardner, a 2013 MU graduate, has averaged 15.4 points and 6.8 boards per game this season. Gardner has shot 65.9% from the field and 86.4% from the free throw line. His best career game through 15 outings was November 28th when he tallied 26 points and grabbed 14 boards in a win against Antibes.
Trent Lockett is in his second professional campaign and first with Braunschweig (Germany). Through 16 games, Lockett has averaged 14.1 points and 5.1 rebounds per outing. Lockett followed a double-double performance on December 6th by recording 23 points and six rebounds in a December 13th win versus Ludwisburg.
Oluoma Nnamaka is in his 13th professional season and third consecutive with Uppsala (Sweden). In 21 contests, Nnamaka has averaged 8.6 points and 5.4 boards. Nnamaka has helped his team to a 14-7 record and recorded 11 points along with six rebounds in the team’s most recent game against Nassjo.
Jake Thomas, a 2013 graduate, is in his first professional campaign with Massagno (Switzerland). Thomas has 11.4 points per contest in the team’s 14 games. Thomas’ career best performance came against Boncourt on October 12th when he tallied 32 points while shooting 42.9% from beyond the arc.
Todd Mayo is in his first season with the Westchester Knicks, the D-League affiliate for the New York Knicks. Mayo has shot 85.7% from the free throw line and averages 8.4 points per game. Mayo scored 20 in two separate contests against Grand Rapids earlier in the season.
