College Game Day to Make First Appearance in Milwaukee
Feb. 22, 2007
MILWAUKEE - Marquette basketball fans are invited to the Bradley Center, Saturday, March 3, for a live broadcast of ESPN College Gameday. The doors open at 8 a.m. for this free event. Join host Rece Davis and analysts Jay Bilas, Hubert Davis and Digger Phelps from 9-11 a.m. as they dissect not only the Marquette-Pittsburgh match up, but also run the gamut, offering insight on the day's action around college hoops. To top it all off, Dan Shulman, along with the one and only Dick Vitale, will be courtside for the 8 p.m. tip-off between the Golden Eagles and Panthers to call all the action.
The first 1,000 fans attending Gameday will receive a limited edition gold t-shirt and prizes will be given out throughout the morning. Fanatics are encouraged to participate in the Gameday cast look-a-like contest, where one individual will take home a Nintendo Wii for the best impersonation.
Gameday will be at mid Al McGuire Court with fan seating in sections 200-202 and 226-227. The 1977 NCAA Championship team will also be in attendance.
Upon entering the building on Saturday evening for National Marquette Day, fans will be given a light blue t-shirt (pictured below) as part of Marquette's goal of turning the Bradley Center into 1977 blue. During the game, Gameday will be located in section 105 where the Marquette band usually plays, and the band will move up behind the Gameday crew.
Although the game has been sold out for weeks, everyone is encouraged to attend the free Gameday broadcast in the morning.
