The No. 8/10 Marquette University men's basketball team opens a two-game road swing at No. 6/6 Louisville Sunday morning on a national broadcast to be featured by CBS. Verne Lundquist (play-by-play) and Bill Raftery (analyst) will call the action in MU's 11th national production of the campaign. The Golden Eagles are in the midst of a three-game stretch that pits the squad against a trio of top-10 ranked programs (UConn, UofL, Pittsburgh). The matchup with the Cardinals begins a busy final week to the regular season for the team, which will face No. 1 Pittsburgh Wednesday night on the road before hosting Syracuse Saturday afternoon on Senior Day.

Injury Ends James' Stellar Career With Golden Eagles
Senior Dominic James, who became the program's all-time leader in games played with the opening tip against Connecticut, saw his Marquette career come to an end just four minutes into the contest.

The Richmond, Ind., native suffered a break in the fifth metatarsal of his left foot and will need surgery to help repair the damage. He will begin the multiple-week rehabilitation process immediately following surgery.

James played just four minutes against the Huskies, finishing with three points. He was replaced in the lineup by junior guard Maurice Acker.

James' Career Numbers Place Him Among Marquette's Best
It is difficult to accurately define what Dominic James has meant to the Marquette men's basketball program the past four seasons, both on and off the court, but a look at his career numbers does provide a bit of perspective.

James will finish among Marquette's top-10 all-time performers in a total of 10 categories (top-five in six of those areas). He is currently fourth among all active players in the nation in career assists (631) and one of a handful with 1,500 points, 350 assists and 200 steals during his tenure.

The only game James did not start in his 128-game career came last season at home against Louisville. He played only 18 minutes in that game because of illness.
