Digger Phelps to Serve As Keynote Speaker at Men's Basketball Banquet
April 4, 2006 MILWAUKEE - The Marquette men's basketball team will hold its annual awards banquet on Monday, April 24 at the Monaghan Ballroom in the Alumni Memorial Union. ESPN college basketball analyst and former Notre Dame head coach Digger Phelps will serve as keynote speaker for the program. The banquet will also feature award presentations, a recap of Marquette's first season in the BIG EAST and its trip to the NCAA Tournament, and a tribute to the three seniors -- Joe Chapman, Chris Grimm and Steve Novak. The banquet starts at 6:30 p.m. with a reception beginning at 5:30 p.m. The cost to attend the banquet is $50.
