Fans Equal Marquette Success
May 29, 2007 MILWAUKEE - Marquette faithful helped set new standards during the 2006-07 men's basketball season, showing exactly what it means to be a fan of the Golden Eagles. Supporters of MU packed the Bradley Center for what turned out to be the single-most attended season in school history. For the first time ever, Marquette men's basketball, in its 20 games played at the Bradley Center, topped 300,000 in attendance, ranking third in the BIG EAST and ninth in the NCAA with a total attendance of 306,893. The average attendance figure was just as remarkable. Ranking third in the BIG EAST and 14th in the country, an average of 15,345 fans came out every game to watch the Golden Eagles compete last season. It is the second-highest average attendance figure ever. Twice MU cleared the 19,000-fan mark as 19,020 people showed up for the contest with Wisconsin, Dec. 9, and a record crowd of 19,021 attended the game against Pittsburgh, March 3. 2007 NCAA Total Attendance
