Heath Joubert’s magical run during Marquette’s Session I Day Camp concluded Friday afternoon with a buzzer-beating shot that earned him a free trip to camp for any of the two remaining weeks this summer.

Joubert had three seconds to dribble from half court and shoot from as close as he could get before the horn sounded.  His running floater rattled around the rim and through the net in dramatic fashion.  Joubert also netted the Olympians’ game-winning shot in their historic Golden Eagle Challenge victory earlier in the week, claimed a daily free throw award and was the division’s weekly Hot Shot champion as well.

MU’s camp staff recognized numerous award winners on Friday, including the regular season and tournament team champions.  As predicted, there was a pair of upsets in tournament action as the regular season champions were unable to complete the sweep.  Pittsburgh gained a measure of revenge by earning the tourney title over Cincinnati.  The Bearcats had defeated the Panthers earlier in the week.

Greece earned the Olympic Division tournament trophy after Senegal had earned the regular season crown.  UCLA finished the week undefeated in the NCAA Division and Milwaukee completed the sweep in the NBA age group.
Individuals honored included 1-on-1 and 3-on-3 champs, top rebounders, top-effort performers and campers of the week.
