Friday's Lunch Menu
Sloppy joe sandwich, steak cut french fries, fresh watermelon wedge, rice krispy treats.
The day of days has finally arrived for Session II Day Camp participants, Championship Friday.
Tournament play will begin right away Friday morning for three of the four divisions. The NBA West will wrap up regular season play before moving into tourney action. UIC and Detroit posted identical 6-1 records in the Horizon League, with the Flames earning the top seed on a tiebreaker. Georgetown finished one game ahead of Providence for the No. 1 spot in the BIG EAST division and the Cavaliers will try to claim the NBA East after finishing 6-1 and claiming the tiebreaker over the Celtics.
Thursday’s activities were highlighted by a visit from former MU sharpshooter and current NBA player Steve Novak. He just completed his ninth season in the NBA and is one of the top 3-point shooters in the game. Novak shared some basic shooting fundamentals with the campers and also expressed the importance of setting goals in life and not just those involving basketball.
Camper of the Day: Joe Mussolini (Horizon), Benny Levine (BIG EAST), Jack O’Donnell (NBA East) and Ryan Waddell (NBA West). “Mr. Stations” Award: Jake Pekar (Horizon), Leo Biel (BIG EAST), Sam LaCoco (NBA East) and Karon Brown (NBA West).
CAMP STORE: Check out the official Camp Store on the main concourse level of the Al McGuire Center. Food, drinks and MU gear will be available. Campers will be able to purchase "camp cash cards" for various dollar amounts so they don't have to worry about having cash.
