Senegal, Kansas, Georgetown and Houston Claim Championship Friday Titles

Senegal and Houston were able to add a tournament championship to their collection after claiming the regular season title Thursday afternoon in the Olympic and NBA divisions, respectively. The quality of depth in team play was on display in the BIG EAST Division, where neither regular season division winner was able to advance to the championship game of league play. West Virginia and Seton Hall finished a perfect 7-0 prior to the tourney, but it was Georgetown that defeated Syracuse in the championship game of Friday’s event. Kansas, which earned second in the regular season, captured the NCAA Division tournament title thanks to some clutch shooting and defense. Olympian Chris McKenna knocked down a BUZZer beater to earn a free week of camp, narrowly beating the final buzzer, which was reviewed by video replay in the camp offices. McKenna’s shot matched the attempt of fellow Olympian Heath Joubert, who also won freed camp during Session I.
