Championship Friday.  The two-word title will keep the Session I Day Camp participants up all night in anticipation of a day that has in the past proven just the beginning for numerous impressive basketball careers.

Who can forget the heroics of Heath Jobert?, whose legend was born on the final day of camp several years ago and eventually led to his induction into the hall of fame.  By the time the final whistle blows at the Al McGuire Center on Friday, a new legion of champions and heroes will be introduced to the emotional crowd of friends, family and members of the media.

Pool play concluded on Thursday and the seedings are set for tourney action in all four divisions.  Spain claimed the Olympic division’s top seed on a tiebreaker and North Carolina edged Duke in the NCAAs.  Seton Hall was undefeated in the BIG EAST and the Miami Heat did the same in the NBA.

Individual highlights included a game-winning floater by Anthony Rise (Canada) in OT to earn a share of the title and Syracuse downed USF with a basket in the extra session.

Campers of the day were Adrien Wright (Brazil), Alonso Munoz (Baylor), Teddy Papageorge (Rutgers) and Blake Kratzer (Lakers).

CAMP STORE:  Check out the official Camp Store on the main concourse level of the Al McGuire Center.  Food, drinks and MU gear will be available.  Campers will be able to purchase "camp cash cards" for various dollar amounts so they don't have to worry about having cash.  The "Camp Combo" returns and features a headband/wristband duo for $12 and the group photo, taken Monday morning, is also available for purchase ($15).
