Nearly 2,000 Blue & Gold faithful braved the unusually warm temperatures Wednesday night at the Texas-Style Bar-B-Q with Buzz Williams to help make the event a tremendous success for the second-straight year.

ESPN 540, MU’s official flagship stations, broadcast live from the event and featured interviews with current MU players and Williams. There were plenty of games and contests for the numerous children in attendance.

Director of Athletics Steve Cottingham introduced Williams, who presented the returning players and coaching and support staff with their NCAA participant rings, specially designed for MU.

There were plenty of opportunities for interaction with each of the returning players for Marquette, as well as the entire coaching staff.

Plenty of former players were in attendance as well. Williams welcomed the group to the Al McGuire Center prior to the BBQ and personally conducted a tour of the facility. Those in attendance included Hank Raymonds, George Thompson, Rube Schulz and Terrell Schlundt.
