Special Pre-Reception - Honoring a Legend: Ralph H. Metcalfe, Sr., Arts ‘36

4:30 p.m.

Eighty years ago, Ralph H. Metcalfe, Sr., Arts ’36, won gold and silver medals at the 1936 Olympics in Berlin. He went on to a successful political career during which he developed and advocated for acts of legislation to support housing, personal security and sports opportunity access to minority and at-risk populations.

Join us to celebrate Metcalfe’s journey and honor his legacy.

All attendees will be entered into a drawing to receive a pennant autographed by the Chicago Bulls’ Jimmy Butler, Comm ’11, a past recipient of the Marquette University Metcalfe Senior Award.
