BIG EAST Men's Basketball Schedule Announced
Sep 5, 2013
The BIG EAST Conference home schedule for the Marquette University men’s basketball team includes five Saturday afternoon matchups at the BMO Harris Bradley Center, the league office announced Thursday afternoon.
Including three non-conference matchups, Golden Eagle fans will be able to enjoy a total of eight Saturday contests (half of the home schedule) in 2013-14 on Al McGuire Court.
After opening conference action New Year’s Eve Dec. 31 at Creighton in the league lidlifter, MU will host DePaul on Jan. 4 in the BIG EAST home opener. In the new 10-team conference, each program plays the other nine teams in home-and-home series during the regular season.
The BIG EAST Conference Championship is slated for March 12-15 at Madison Square Garden in New York, N.Y.
A majority of the team’s national broadcasts will come on FOX Sports 1 and the Golden Eagles will also make appearances on FOX versus Ohio State (Nov. 16) and on CBS at Villanova (March 2).
Season tickets are currently on sale for as little as $125. A very limited amount of 200 level seats are also still available. Full-season ticket plans include additional benefits, such as the ability to purchase extra single-game and postseason tickets before the general public. In an effort to further pack the BMO Harris Bradley Center in 2013-14, current season ticket holders can earn a $100 account credit by referring a friend to be a new season ticket holder.
Flex-plans are also available and start at just $65 - these plans include the biggest games on the schedule, including Ohio State, Georgetown and Creighton.
A three-game weekender plan will also go on sale in September. Games within this plan include Saturday, November 16 vs. Ohio State, Saturday, January 11 vs. Seton Hall and Saturday, February 15 vs. Xavier. Prices for this plan are set at $90 or $60 per package.
Single-game tickets will go on sale to season ticket holders on Saturday, September 28 and to the general public on Saturday, Oct. 12.
