MU and TWC SportsChannel WI announce fall broadcasts
Sept. 8, 2016
MILWAUKEE – Time Warner Cable SportsChannel will broadcast five Marquette University Athletics fall events, including the annual Marquette Madness on Friday, Oct. 7 and the men’s basketball exhibition game against Rockhurst on Saturday, Nov. 5.
Inside Marquette Basketball with Steve Wojciechowski and host Dennis Krause will air on the network bi-weekly throughout the college basketball season beginning in November.
TWC SportsChannel (Channel 32/1332 HD in eastern Wisconsin) will also pick up matches for men’s and women’s soccer and volleyball, beginning with a Wednesday, Sept. 14 Milwaukee Cup contest between MU men’s soccer and Milwaukee.
In addition to the events on cable, a partnership between Marquette Athletics and Marquette student media, the Marquette Wire, will allow for the production of the remaining fall contests for those three sports by MUTV through GoMarquette.com. MUTV’s first broadcast, led by producer Brian Georgeson, a senior, will be Friday’s matchup between the women’s soccer team and Milwaukee at Valley Fields.
The initiative is supported by the new Dean of the College of Communication, Dr. Kimo Ah Yun, as well as Marquette University Vice President and Athletics Director, Bill Scholl.
In total, all 31 home regular season soccer and volleyball matches will be televised or streamed live through GoMarquette.com or the BIG EAST Digital Network through FOX Sports Go.
