NBA World Champion and former Marquette star Dwyane Wade made a special trip to MU's campus Tuesday afternoon to host a signing of his new book, "A Father First: How My Life Became Bigger Than Basketball."

More than 500 fans showed up at the Al McGuire Center for their chance to personally meet Wade and he signed nearly 800 book total during his latest tour stop. He will return to the Chicago area for multiple signings before heading to Los Angeles later in the week.

Wade's brief stop at the Al McGuire Center included meetings with Buzz Williams, Rev. Scott Pilarz, S.J. and the recipients of the scholarships made possible by the partnership between MU, the Boys & Girls Club of America and Wade's World Foundation.

Wade signed all of the books in just over an hour.
