Marquette Madness Tips Off 2014-15 Season Oct. 10

Marquette University men's and women's basketball fans will get their first look at the 2014-15 teams on Friday, Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. when the programs host the annual Marquette Madness event at the Al McGuire Center.

Admission is free, but seating in the 3,700-seat arena is limited. MUTV will feature a live broadcast, which will be available for free online at beginning at 6:30 p.m. CT.

Fans may begin to start lining up at 4 p.m. and 12th Street will be closed between Wells and Wisconsin at 4:30 p.m. Doors to the Al McGuire Center will open at 6:30 p.m.  Fans should be aware that security staff will be conducting bag checks prior to entrance to the event.

Marquette Madness will be the first opportunity for Golden Eagle fans to meet players and coaches from both programs, which are led by first-year head coaches Steve Wojciechowski and Carolyn Kieger. Due to timing and location, fans will be limited to only one item for the post-event autograph session and personal photographs with players/coaches won't be allowed.

Highlights of Friday night's activities include:

  • Free chips and queso for first 1,000 courtesy of Qdoba
  • Dunk contest
  • Coaches vs. Players 3-point Contest
  • Men's and women's team scrimmages
  • Post-event autograph session
