OFFICIAL BIG EAST MEDIA DAY COVERAGE

[12:23 p.m.] Head coach Buzz Williams and seniors Maurice Acker, David Cubillan and Lazar Hayward head to New York City Tuesday night in advance of the annual BIG EAST Media Day at Madison Square Garden Wednesday morning.

Each of the 16 schools in the league will meet with over 200 members of the media from across the nation. The media session is split into two portions following remarks from the commissioner. Half of the schools meet with the print/internet media while the remaining schools conduct television interviews. The two groups then switch prior to an informal luncheon.

The league's official coaches poll will be released, as will the conference's specialty award winner and Preseason All-BIG EAST Team.

Wednesday's media day will mark the first time the Golden Eagles haven't been represented by Dominic James, Wesley Matthews and Jerel McNeal at MSG. The former MU players were the first in the history of the league to attend each season of their respective career.
