The 2014-15 Marquette University men’s basketball team made its second public appearance of the preseason Friday night with the annual Haunted Hoops Scrimmage at the Al McGuire Center.

The night was highlighted by the fan-favorite costume parade and the MU lacrosse and track and field teams assisted with the evening’s trick-or-treat festivities. In the first eight-minute scrimmage, the Blue team posted a 20-8 victory thanks to nine points from junior forward Steve Taylor, Jr. The Blue squad shot 9-of-12 from the field and had seven assists. In the second six-minute period, the Blue team also posted a 14-5 win. Sophomore forward Deonte Burton paced the squad with eight points.

With senior point guard Derrick Wilson sidelined because of a groin injury, the roster featured only 10 healthy players. Wilson isn’t expected to miss an extended period of time after suffering the injury in practice on Thursday.

Prior to the scrimmage nearly 300 fans attended the Blue & Gold Fund Fish Fry at the Alumni Memorial Union.
