Following a near-record crowd of Marquette men’s basketball fans at the annual Blue & Gold Fund Fish Fry, nearly 1,000 of the Golden Eagle faithful attended the program’s Haunted Hoops scrimmage Friday night at the Al McGuire Center.

Head coach Buzz Williams split his roster of 14 players into two teams and the squads battled in a pair of 12-minute games. Williams spent one half coaching each team.

The first game was decided in overtime after a late rally by the Blue team. Junior Vander Blue led the way with 15 points in the 32-27 victory, finishing 4-of-5 from the floor. Sophomore guard Derrick Wilson chipped in seven points, three assists and a rebound.

In game two, the Blue squad posted a 24-15 victory. A balanced scoring attack featured four players with at least four points. Junior Chris Otule finished with five points and four boards. For the White squad, senior Junior Cadougan added eight points and two rebounds.

All of the children in attendance were invited to the floor at halftime for the always popular costume parade.
