The Marquette University men’s basketball team will open the 2014-15 campaign with an exhibition game against Wisconsin Lutheran at 1 p.m. on Nov. 8 at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.

Starting at $125, fans can still purchase a season ticket to all 17 home games. In addition to season ticket availability in the 400 level, a small quantity of seats in the 200 level are also available.

The 2014-15 home schedule features 17 games and is highlighted by visits from Wisconsin, Arizona State and all nine BIG EAST conference members. To order tickets, call 414-288-GOMU (4668) or click here to view more information online.

While there won't be any television coverage, GoMarquette.com will feature a free live stream for any fans unable to attend the game.

This game will mark the debut of Steve Wojciechowski, who enters his first season as head coach of the Golden Eagles after spending 14 seasons as an assistant coach at Duke. It will also be the first time that freshmen Sandy Cohen and Duane Wilson and senior transfer Matt Carlino suit up in the Blue and Gold.

The two returning starters for the Golden Eagles, seniors Juan Anderson and Derrick Wilson, will look to lead their young teammates after being voted co-captains during the preseason. Wilson is coming off a season in which he averaged 4.2 assists per contest while Anderson finished last year with 3.2 per game and 3.3 rebounds per outing.

Marquette also returns sophomore Deonte Burton, who played a big role coming off the bench last season. Burton was named to the BIG EAST All-Rookie Team after averaging 6.9 points per game last season. Burton also averaged 14.0 point per contest over the last four games of his freshman season.

The Golden Eagles tallest player for the first month of the season will be 6-7 Steve Taylor, Jr. He has appeared in 58 career games for Marquette. MU will get the much needed height when 6-11 sophomore Luke Fischer becomes eligible to play after sitting out for one year due to NCAA transfer rules on Dec. 14.

After the exhibition, Marquette will prepare for the official regular-season opener Nov. 14 at the BMO Harris Bradley Center against Tennessee-Martin.
