The Marquette University men’s basketball team is ready for the season-opening Carrier Classic after a busy Thursday in Charleston, S.C.

The Golden Eagles practiced for an hour on the deck of the USS Yorktown before conducting a press conference and interviews. The team then traveled to Joint Base Charleston to host a clinic for military families through a partnership with Hoops From Home. Each of the four teams participating in the event took part in the clinic for approximately 75 participants.

MU then headed back to the hotel for dinner and a film session. Marquette will return to the ship early Friday afternoon for a shootaround prior to the 6 p.m. CT tip on NBC Sports.

Check out the official Marquette Athletics Facebook and Twitter pages, along with the men's basketball team's, for complete photo galleries and coverage throughout the event.
