Freshman Henry Ellenson has been named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week for the second time this season, the league office announced Monday afternoon.

The Rice Lake, Wisconsin native averaged 17.5 points, 9.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game in victories over San Jose State and at rival Wisconsin last week. Against the Badgers, he finished with 15 points and 11 rebounds, collecting his fifth double-double of the campaign in the process.

Ellenson is currently ranked in the top-10 among collegiate freshmen in scoring (16.5 ppg.) and rebounding (9.0 rpg.) and ranks fourth and second in those categories, respectively, in the BIG EAST.

Ellenson also claimed the weekly accolade on Nov. 30 and was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll on Nov. 16. The Golden Eagles are currently in possession of a seven-game winning streak, but don’t return to the court until Dec. 21 after the conclusion of finals week.
