About the M Club

Greetings Fellow MU Letterwinners!

Welcome to the Marquette University "M" Club webpage. The purpose of this page is to keep you informed of all "M" Club activities and assist you in communicating with us and your fellow members.

How do you join the "M" Club? You are automatically a member if you earned a varsity letter while competing for Marquette and your class has graduated. The primary mission of the "M" Club is to provide support for Marquette Athletics and to encourage camaraderie among its alumni letterwinners. To accomplish this, we host several fundraising and social events each year.

Our main fundraising event is the M Club Golf Outing, which has generated more than $600,000 for Marquette Athletics in its history. The 36th annual golf outing – the longest running golf outing for any MU alumni organization – will be held at The Legend at Brandybrook in Wales, Wisconsin on August 14, 2017. Last year was our most successful golf outing in almost a decade and we look to make the 2017 version even better.

The M Club also oversees the Marquette University Athletics Hall of Fame induction and dinner. The Hall of Fame is not an annual event and the next class induction is tentatively planned for 2018. In addition, each year we honor an individual with the Hy Popuch Award for dedicated service to the "M" Club and Marquette Athletics. Finally, each year we plan several opportunities for our members to get together including a soccer tailgate and a women's basketball social.

We are looking forward to growing the participation of all our alumni letterwinners in the "M" Club. Our board and its committees are always in need of volunteers to assist us in planning and running our events. Having up-to-date and accurate contact information is critical to our ability to connect with former student-athletes. Please consider taking a moment to provide us with your current contact information.

We hope to see you at our upcoming events. WE ARE MARQUETTE!
Joe Kohut ’10,
 President, Marquette University "M" Club
