Prior to Marquette -- Michael Bielawski was a four year letter winner at Nathan Hale High School in West Allis, Wis. He led his team to a Greater Metro Conference championship as a junior. The team finished second at the WIAA state championships that year. He tied for the conference title as a senior and was named a first-team all-conference performer. As a junior, he finished fourth in state and was a first-team all-state and all-conference selection with a 75.6 scoring average. He was a third-team all-conference selection as a sophomore.
Additionally, he was the winner 2001 Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Tournament (15- to 16-year-old division) where he posted a 69. He was named Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Player of the Year for 2002 and was the 2002 Golf Foundation of Wisconsin Player of the Year. He also won the 2003 Mike Bencriscutto Junior Masters Tournament (17- to 18-year-old division). He was also a four-year honor roll member and was a member of Key Club and Student Government.
Personal -- Michael Jon Bielawski was born April 30, 1985, in Milwaukee. His parents are Lynn and Charles Bielawski. His grandfather was a Marquette graduate in 1948. He has a younger sister, Amy. He is a public relations major.
