2008-09 Season -- Played in one event as a junior, shooting 234 at the Gopher Invitational, where the Golden Eagles tied for sixth place at Spring Hill Golf Club in Wayzata, Minn.

2007-08 Season -- McDonald earned his way into the lineup during the spring portion of his sophomore season and played in two events for the Golden Eagles. His only two events played were in March 2008 beginning with the Pinehurst Intercollegiate, where McDonald shot a 238 (81-79-78). He went on to compete in the teams next tournament, the Carter Plantation Intercollegiate, where McDonald carded a 240 (81-80-79). His scoring average was 79.67 in six rounds played.

2006-07 Season -- McDonald played in four events as a freshman, recording a 77.10 scoring average. He made his collegiate debut in the Rich Harvest Farms Intercollegiate, recording a 236, finishing with a final-round 74. He played two other times in the fall, matching a season-best 74 in the BIG EAST/MAC Challenge. He tied his season best with a 74 in the Marshall Invitational.

Prior to Marquette -- A first-team all-state selection as a senior, McDonald was a four year letter winner at Germantown High School. He was a state qualifier three times in his career, finishing as high as second in Division 1 as a senior. A team captain as a junior and senior, McDonald was coached in high school by Gary Anderson.

Personal -- Michael William McDonald was born April, 21, 1987, in Milwaukee. He is the son of Robert and Linda McDonald. He has an older sister, Angie. His major is business marketing.
