Four days later, qualified for the U.S. Amateur Championship (Cherry Hills Village, Colo.) finishing runner-up at the TPC River Highlands' sectional qualifier in Cromwell, Conn.

2011-12:: Led four MU freshmen and was fourth on the squad in individual scoring average (77.26) ... Also led the team with two eagles, in addition to 47 birdies in 23 rounds played ... Went undefeated at The Match Play at Reunion Resort in Orlando, Fla., with a perfect 3-0 record; the rest of the team went 0-14-1 on the weekend ... Carded his individual low round at the Cardinal Intercollegiate with a first-round 73 ... He later matched it with an opening-round 73 at The Battle at Warren, where he finished tied for seventh place with a two-round total of 6-over 148.
