MILWAUKEE -- Seton Hall defeated the Marquette University men's golf team 5-1 Tuesday on the final day of the The Match Play at Reunion Resort.

It was CJ Swift who scored the Golden Eagles' lone victory of the match against the Pirates, a 2-and-1 decision over John Dawson Neufeld at the No. 5 spot in the lineup. He hit a 4-iron to within seven feet of the cup on hole sixteen, which Swift went on to birdie, extending his lead to two with two holes remaining.

Swift, who finished the two-day event with an unscathed mark of 3-0 after a pair of victories Monday, was the only MU player to record an individual victory in the team's three matches.

Adam Chester and Corey Konieczki fell by scores of 2 and 1 Tuesday at the No. 2 and No 3 positions, respectively. Michael Motz, who played at the top spot in the Golden Eagles' lineup this week, lost his match Tuesday to Brandon Park, 4 and 3.

Marquette will return to the Sunshine State March 4-6 to participate in the annual USF Invitational to be held once again at Lake Jovita Golf and Country Club in Dade City, Fla.
