Gaugert Sits T-10 at Desert Mountain Intercollegiate

SCOTTSDALE, Arizona - Marquette junior Zach Gaugert posted six birdies on the way to a second round score of 72, and sits tied for 10th place after 36 holes at the Desert Mountain Intercollegiate tournament, hosted by the University of Michigan.

Marquette finished the day eighth in the team scoring (out of 12) with a 36-hole score of 614.

Gaugert, one of nine individuals playing the tournament, is tied for the top score among individual players after two rounds. Four of his six birdies in the second round came on the back nine.

Junior Nick Nelson carded a score of 72 in his first round, and is tied for 18th at +5 through 36 holes to lead Marquette's five-man lineup.
