WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -- The Marquette University men's golf team finished tied for 20th at the C&F Bank Intercollegiate, which wrapped up Monday at Kingsmill Resort. The 32-team event was shortened to just one round following weather-related delays each of the past two days.

Marquette had made the turn in its opening round Saturday, completing the first nine holes on the River Course, before a mixture of snow and sleet starting falling, prompting tournament officials to suspend play for the remainder of the day.

Play would not resume until 11:30 a.m. Central time on Monday, as the build-up of ice and snow forced Sunday’s second round also to be postponed.

Freshman Pat Sanchez and sophomore Will Joiner both shot 75 to lead the Golden Eagles.
