STANFORD, California — Marquette posted a final round 305 to close play 22nd (298-293-305–896) at The Goodwin at Stanford University G.C. on Saturday.
Charlie Maleki carded MU’s best final round score on the par 70, 6,727-yard course, shooting a 3-over-par 73 to post the Golden Eagles’ low score at 221 and finish tied for 54th (74-74-73) in the 126-player field. Maleki had Marquette’s only eagle during the weekend at The Goodwin, accomplishing the feat on the par-5 No. 7 in the final round.
Host Stanford shot a final round 7-under-par to run away with the event win (837) in the 24-team field.
Marquette continues its spring schedule at the Hawkeye Invitational, April 15-16.
