FAU Tops Marquette In Dual Golf Match
April 14, 2012 JUPITER, Fla. -- The Marquette University men's golf team competed in rare dual meet Saturday morning against Florida Atlantic University at the par-72 Abacoa Golf Club. FAU defeated the Golden Eagles 304-299 in the 18-hole stroke play event. Each team consisted of six players with the top four individual scores counting toward the team's cumulative total. Marquette freshman Adam Chester posted the low round for the Golden Eagles with an even-par 72, which was matched by FAU's Brad Kidd and Lawrence Hock. Ryan Prickette and Michael Motz shot 76 and 77, respectively and CJ Swift carded a 79. Marquette's final event of the 2012 regular season will be the Battle at Warren, hosted by the University of Notre Dame, on April 22. MU then travels back to the Sunshine State for the BIG EAST Championship, April 29-May, in Orlando, Fla. FAU - 299 Marquette - 304
