April 14, 2012
JUPITER, Fla. -- The Marquette University men's golf team competed in rare dual meet Saturday morning against Florida Atlantic University at the par-72 Abacoa Golf Club.
FAU defeated the Golden Eagles 304-299 in the 18-hole stroke play event. Each team consisted of six players with the top four individual scores counting toward the team's cumulative total.
Marquette freshman Adam Chester posted the low round for the Golden Eagles with an even-par 72, which was matched by FAU's Brad Kidd and Lawrence Hock.
Marquette's final event of the 2012 regular season will be the Battle at Warren, hosted by the University of Notre Dame, on April 22. MU then travels back to the Sunshine State for the BIG EAST Championship, April 29-May, in Orlando, Fla.
