MU Golfers Complete Rain-Soaked First Round

PALM HARBOR, Fla. -- Marquette University finished its round, but three teams did not as rain suspended play for much of Sunday's first round of action at the BIG EAST Men's Golf Championship at the par-71 Copperhead Course at Innisbrook Resort and Golf Course.

The Golden Eagles fired a team score of 306 and are currently in 11th place as they head into Monday's second round. Cincinnati, Georgetown and Seton Hall will resume play at 9:30 a.m. ET while the rest of the field will tee off round two at 8 a.m.

Marquette was led by senior Mike McDonald's 75. Juniors Kelly Kretz and Ben Sieg each shot 76. Group pairings for round two will remain the same as Sunday.
